About
Born and raised in Brisbane, my journey as a cellist has led to me studying and performing in venues all across the world. I have been a participant at many chamber music festivals, including the Icicle Creek Festival in Washington, Musical Chairs Festival in Montréal, Ticino Musica in Switzerland and International Sommerakademie in Germany. Closer to home, I have performed with the Queensland Symphony, most recently as a member of the Ring Cycle Orchestra, as well as with Ensemble Q, the Australian Youth Orchestra and the Queensland Youth Symphony. Following the completion of my Bachelor of Music at the Queensland Conservatorium, I travelled to Hamburg, Germany to undertake further postgraduate studies with Tanja Tetzlaff at the Hamburg Hochschule für Musik und Theater. I have been fortunate to have so many other inspiring mentors over the years, including my previous teachers Trish Dean, Meta Weiss and Melissa Dineen.

Robert Schumann: Cello Concerto in A minor
Queensland Conservatorium Symphony with Peter Luff conducting, 2019 |
In 2024 I am excited to be taking part in the Academy program with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, in addition to the Upbeat program with Camerata. Despite my busy schedule with these two positions and additional freelance work, I will be continuing to accept new cello students in 2024. Please see my teaching page or contact me directly for further details.
